After photographing Carolyn Key’s jewelry in Mexico this past February, I was excited to work with her handmade collection again - this time a bit more locally. We teamed up to curate an indoor lifestyle session featuring her Fall/Winter 2019 collection. I really enjoyed having Carolyn on-site during the photo shoot as co-creatively director. From a production standpoint, it is valuable to get to work so closely with the artist and have an immediate feedback loop in order to most effectively bring the vision to life. Thank you Carolyn for the opportunity to capture this collection. It was a pleasure to work with you!
It was so great to see the S Family again after our last session back in 2014. In celebration of Mom’s birthday, the family gathered (canine members included) to create some photographic memories together. Thank you to the S Family for having me as your photographer and I hope you enjoy these images for years to come.
Dan and Karie were married on a beautiful summer evening at the Valley Green Inn under the tree canopy of the Wissahickon Valley Park. It was a pleasure to get to know and this warm and loving couple and to capture their memories of this special day. Congratulations Dan and Karie! I hope you enjoy this sneak peak of some favorites. Thank you for having me as your photographer.
A sneak peak of my photography session with the D Family in Venice, California!
We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming of Fall family photo shoots with the A Family to bring you a special Summer addition: newborn session with their new baby girl!
Her cuteness speaks for itself, and I love how her two older brothers already adore her. Congratulations to the whole family, and thank you for having me as your photographer. It was so special to document her very first days of life with the whole family. I hope you enjoy this sneak peak, and I can’t wait to share the rest!
MaryFatimah and Noah were married on Saturday, July 13, 2018 at the Fellowship Farm in Pennsylvania. The warmth of the Fellowship community, the spirit of the Mazar, and the beauty of the natural environment all came together to make their wedding day a tangibly magical experience. When MaryFatimah and I met earlier this year, we discovered that we had many mutual connections growing up. This meant that I ended up recognizing a lot of the guests…which was super fun! Congratulations to the happy couple, and thank you for having me as your photographer. Here is a sneak peak of some of my favorites from the day.
A lifelong student to alternative medicine, Jennifer Hendler is Holistic Psychotherapist and Flower Essence practitioner in Narberth, Pennsylvania. As Jennifer is building a new website for her practice, she called me in to create not only a headshot but also other detail and lifestyle imagery for the site. I had so much fun working with Jennifer to capture the magic that she cultivates in her own backyard. We also took a spin to Shortridge Park to build a rock spiral, a sacred symbol representing the journey and change of life as it unfolds. Thank you Jennifer to have me as your photographer! Here are a few favorites from our photo session. I can’t wait to share the rest and see your new website.
Mazel Tov to Elizabeth and Alex on a beautiful start to their wedding week! The couple gathered an intimate group of family and friends for a small ketubah singing ceremony under a honeylocust tree in Merion Park, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth and Alex, I’m wishing you so much happiness in your life ahead as husband and wife! Thanks for having me as your photographer. Here is a sneak peak of a few of my favorites.
Here are some favorites from my third photo session with wellness mastermind Katy Kern! Big thanks to the Yoga Garden in Narberth for providing us with your beautiful space. In our studio session we captured yoga, craniosacral, and therapy ball work. The little therapy balls that Katy uses with her clients are sooo good for rolling out sore muscles … which I can say from my own experience! It was also fun to bring some summery patterns and outfits into this session. As Katy is traveling to Florida more for work…she’ll have the imagery she needs to let everyone down South know she’s on her way! Thank you Katy for having me as your photographer. I hope you enjoy this sneak peak and can’t wait to share the rest!
As an Environmental Studies major in college, I’ve long been a fan of renewable energy. When local solar energy developer Glidepath Ventures brought me in to produce new headshots for their website, I was excited not only because I love portrait work, but also because I wholeheartedly support what they are doing in the world. We held our portrait session at Life Time Work in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. I’ve produced headshots before at this Main Line co-working spot before and enjoy returning due to the abundance of available natural light and interesting settings. Here are some of my favorites from one spot in particular. Thank you to Charles, Carl and Geoff for having me as your photographer! Hope you enjoy this sneak peak and can’t wait to share the whole reel.
Here is a sneak peak from Monday’s headshot session with my new client Lisa Silk and her team. While most new clients find out about me through word of mouth, Lisa straight up just google searched her way to me on the big internet, which I think is so cool. She said she looked at lots of photographer’s websites and that my photos were the ones she liked the best (can you see the huge smile on my face?) and so she reached out. Lisa is a Licensed Addiction Therapist & Substance Abuse Counselor with 3 Associates working with her. This summer Lisa is getting ready to not only launch a new website, but also open up new offices on Lancaster Avenue just across the street from Haverford College Pond (where we did our headshot session). I had a great time getting to know Lisa and her team, especially Jamie’s little girl Ryan who came along for the shoot and was so cute I couldn’t help but snap a few of her too! Thank you, Lisa, for having me as your photographer. Can’t wait to see the new website when it launches this summer, and I hope these photos help convey the warmth, compassion and skill that you and your team bring to the important work you do every day. Cheers!
Design Pro Development is an innovative real estate company out of Brewerytown Philadelphia, known for finding hidden gems in any neighborhood. As they prepare for a new website launch this summer, they called me in to do some new headshots. We consciously curated a bright atmosphere that offered varied backgrounds of painted white brick walls, lively plants, and lots of natural light. I had a great time getting to know each team member, and also snapping a few of the CEO and COO at the end. Many thanks to the Design Pro team for having me as your photographer! I can’t wait to see which ones you pick for your new website. Meanwhile, here is a sneak peak of some of my favorites!
Mazal Tov, Maren! I first got to know this lovely family when I photographed older brother Ethan’s Bar Mitzvah a few years back. So, it was wonderfully nostalgic to capture Maren’s big day and to once again see the same familiar faces smiling into the camera. Maren’s selected a bright green for her afternoon service dress and soft pink for her evening party dress, which I thought were both perfect color pops for a springtime event (and looked beautiful on her!). I also very much admire this family’s incredible skill at the game of limbo, which you’ll see in some of the reception photos below. Big thanks to Maren and her family for having me as their photographer! Here is a sneak peak of some of my favorites from the big day :)
Before I share these photographs, I have to let you in on a little secret. I already know this family quite well, as I used to babysit for O and E when they were little. Which, I can’t believe was nearly a decade ago at this point. While time flies, the way in which I admire this family’s true kindness and good humor hasn’t changed one bit. How beautifully O and E have grown up… and what an honor it was to create these photographs. Big thanks to the D family for having me as your photographer! Here are some of my favorites from our photo shoot adventures at Merion Botanical Gardens.
I met both Maryanne of Sardine Clothing Co and Susan of joeyfivecents at the Main Line’s awesome and infamous Clover Market. After doing some photographs of Susan’s jewelry on a recent trip to Quintana Roo, Mexico, we decided to plan another collaborative shoot with MaryAnne here in Pennsylvania. Mission? Imagery for website and social media that conveys the casual and crafty vibes of each of their brands. You may remember my “barn envy” from this post, and I have to say it was so much fun to get to visit Susan’s barn studio and do a photo shoot there. Thank you Maryanne and Susan for having me as your photographer! Here are some of my favorites from our session.
On one of the first true days of spring, Sydney had her Bat Mitzvah at the Sheraton Society Hill. The flowers were just starting to bloom, and everyone was lit up in smiles to celebrate this lovely young lady. I had a wonderful time capturing the memories of Sydney’s big day and am excited to share some of my favorites. Mazel Tov, Sydney, and thank you for having me as your photographer!
